In partnership with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, Vital has initiated the “Vital Project Competition” to promote Cambodian social development. This project gives funds to students for implementation of winning projects. In 2017, more than 30 applicants were shortlisted for participation in the competition.

As a result, “Planning Palm Trees” project of students from Siem Reap won the competition and was rewarded to plant 3,000 palm trees.

Everyone, especially youths, is encouraged to donate their used books and learning materials to rural children through Vital project “Your used books are my new books” of 25 Riel Foundation. As a result, the project collected over 5000 books and plenty of learning materials and distributed to numerous schools in remote areas of Cambodia.

To celebrate graduates’ life achievement, Vital shares love and vivid memory with them. Vital takes part in their graduate ceremony and gives everyone a bottle of Vital with a special design edition of a mini graduation cap as a souvenir.

In 2019, Vital brought smiles to thousands of graduates at the Royal University of Phnom Penh and the National University of Management.

The solar lamps were provided to rural students who could not access to electricity. The solar lamps are very useful and easy to use as they can recharge the battery by themselves, by just being placed under the sun. This project aims to support students to have enough light for their additional study at night. So far, Vital has given over 100 solar lamps to one secondary school in Ratanakiri province.

Through Vital Project Competition, a team of youth with initiative to plant palm trees was awarded a fund to implement the project. Palm tree is a Khmer symbol as it has a plethora of benefits for the daily life of Cambodians. Vital’s support contributes to the national pride by helping the youth group to plant 3,000 palm trees in Siem Reap.

Vital commits to reduce plastic consumption and to reuse plastic bottles. In 2015, Vital initiated an environmental campaign “Vital Go Green”, removing the plastic wrap from the bottle cap. As a result, Vital has set the trend in the industry.

In 2016, Vital donated used bottles for building a school in Kampong Speu province. Vital also sponsored a project using used plastic bottles to make rubbish bins and boats for eco-tourism.

Vital sponsors every annual blood donation event "Blood Donation and Valentine’s Day," and "World Blood Donation Day".

In addition, Vital regularly supports the mobile blood collection program of the National Blood Transfusion Center, organized at universities, government institutions, and private companies in Cambodia.

Hero of Vital is one of the Corporate Social Responsibility activities that encourages consumers to support charity cause simply through purchase of Vital water from vending machines. 100% of the revenue generated through sales from the vending machines was donated to the Angkor Hospital for Children in Siem Reap province. This project partnered with the Water Vending Machine. As a result, USD4,000.00 were made from the two-month project from March to May 2019 for the Angkor Hospital for Children.

Since 2016, Vital has become the main sponsor to the annual cycling event in Siem Reap organized by the Cycling Community Club for Kantha Bopha. The event brings participants nationwide to take part in this fundraising cycling for Kantha Bopha Hospital in Siem Reap.

Buddha bathing is a Buddhism ritual which Cambodians organise every year during Khmer New Year.

In the ritual, Cambodian Buddhists bath a Buddha statue to cultivate merits. It is extended to bathing of the parents and elderly to wish them well, happiness and longevity.

Every year around Khmer New Year, Vital organizes mass Elderly Bathing event for elderly people at remote areas. In addition to bathing them with clean and fresh water, Vital provides new clothes, money, food baskets and a delicious lunch.

Since 2016, Vital has organized this activity in Prey Veng, Kandal and Tbong Khmum provinces and approximately 1,000 elderlies have participated.

“Vital Provides Warmth” is organized every year to care for homeless elderly in Phnom Penh when the weather in Cambodia is getting colder. Blankets, food, and medicines are provided. The event is co-organized with other youth groups, which also provided warm lunch to warm up their day.

“Share the Warmth” distributed blankets, food and medicine to more than 200 elders in Phnom Penh with a smile and love. Most of them are in their 60s, with small incomes such as sharping the knives, selling broomstick, and weighing service, etc. to make a living.

They can only earn around 10,000 riel a day, which makes it impossible to rent a house in Phnom Penh. When receiving blankets and food, some of them were moved to tears, hoping that the gifts would help ease their lives during the monsoon season. In this occasion, Vital also thanked for the more than 60 volunteers who joined hands to make this event happened.

Vital delivered the food and supplies to monks at Serey Oudom pagoda in Prey Veng in April 28th, 2020, while the number of Buddhists who brought their food to the pagoda has decreased sharply during the spread of COVID-19.
The supplies provided by Vital included water, rice, Mee Chiet instant noodles, soy sauce, fish sauce, tea, sugar, salt, candles, incense and medicine and a grant of 2 million Riels.

Vital and Mee Chiet teams thanked the frontline doctors of Covid-19 at Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital on May 19, 2020, after 122 infected patients have been fully recovered and no deaths reported.

To thanks the frontline doctors and nurses working on Covid-19, Vital team brought some items such as; the ‘Word of Appreciation” painting to the doctors, with a thumbprint of the staff, the membership card from One More Restaurant, and the flower bouquets, Vital bottle water and Mee Chiet instant noodle.

Furthermore, besides the ‘thank you’ event, Vital and Mee Chiet also produced a video thanking the medical team and the Ministry of Health for taking action to prevent the spread of Covid-19. The video was publicly posted by the day the last Covid-19 patient has been discharged from a hospital.
